Ep.10- Sweet Ascent, Jordan, Bobby, Allex, and Jake

As you guys know, I love this band. This past weekend, I was lucky enough to have all 4 of them in my living room, and to get to hear from all of them about how they joined the band and what its been like for the past year or so. They have been very busy so there is plenty of great stories to talk about!

Ep.9- Josh Hurst, Young Medicine, Guitarist, Graphic Designer

Josh Hurst is the lead guitarist in a band called Young Medicine. He is also a graphic designer who does all of his band's visuals and works for a production company full time. Both him, and the rest of the band are contributing to the local music scene in more than one way, and doing a great job if you ask me!

It's been a long time since I've publicly commented on current events. I couldn't let this one go. Will and I sat down to talk about the current state of the protests in Virginia, with hopes to provide a little Room for Nuance.

Ep.7- Jason Barr

One day while I was at work, I randomly starting searching for podcasts relating to Lawrence, KS to see if there was anyone else out there pursuing this unique form of media. And surely enough, I found the A.D.D. podcast with Jason Barr. I then discovered a plethora of amazing new information about the city that I live in, and was fortunate enough to have Jason over for a really fun conversation about his life.

Ep.6- Gregory Frye, Cannabis Educator, Writer

Gregory Frye is a man that I have wanted to meet for a long time. He is the executive online editor at Green Flower Media, and an amazing writer, who also happens to live in Greece of all places. I was lucky enough to have him over and get to know him through this conversation while he is visiting Lawrence, Kansas.

Ep.5- Casey Steinmiller, of Steinmiller Productions.

Casey Steinmiller has been appearing all over my news feed with some seriously amazing band photography. I felt like I needed to reach out and try to meet up with this photographer who is shooting all of my favorite local bands, and Im glad I did. I loved hanging out in my living room and getting to know all about his journey to becoming a traveling photographer. 

Ep. 4- Nathan Groves, Ziion, and killing our egos.

Nate Groves is the vocalist for a band called Ziion. He is an extremely passionate guy, who truly cares about the world. We had a spiritual conversation relating to music and our own personal beliefs. I learned a lot about what goes into writing Ziion songs, and how his lyrics relate to his life. Ziion is a great band for you hardcore fans out there!

Ep. 3- Jordan T. Rebman

 This week I spoke with Jordan about music, and life. His band, Sweet Ascent is tearing up the U.S. right now, and I'm glad to be able to watch them grow into professional musicians. But, trying to play music for a living doesn't come without its hardships. Jordan and I spoke about some of his past and the difficult parts of being in a band.
